After sitting behind an All-State goaltender for the Bulldogs hockey team last year, Max was determined to be the starting goalie this season and has done just that, leading BC to a (7-4) overall record and a recent (4-2) victory over Rockford last week! A 3.8 student in the classroom, Max has also participated in Byron Center's marching band the last 2 years, and he is a member of the elite Jazz Orchestra at BC, which has been invited to play at the Savannah Jazz Festival in Georgia and the Essentially Ellington Festival in New York City! When not playing hockey or beautiful music, Max can be found working after school at the Byron Center Public Schools before and after care program.
