"The Truth" is joining the best of the best with the Celtics' franchise. Paul Pierce had his number-34 hung in the rafters at the TD Garden after Boston's loss to the Cavaliers on Sunday. It's the 22nd number retired in franchise history. Pierce was key in helping the Celtics win the 2008 NBA Championship, the 17th in their history. He spent 15 seasons in Boston after being drafted with the 10th-overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft.
Former teammates Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo and head coach Doc Rivers were present for the honor.
