Rachel Gamm - Rockford High School - Girls Swimming & Water Polo
An all-conference performer all 4 years of her high school career for the Rockford girls swim team, this year Rachel Gamm was the co-captain of a team that was crowned champions of their conference and finished 4th at the state meet in Division 1! A 4.0 student, she was named Academic All-American and was recognized as the Female OK Red Student Athlete of the Year for 2019. Rachel is a member of the state record breaking medley relay team at Rockford which earned all-state, Dream Team selection and All-American status! When not in the pool practicing swimming or water polo, she takes a class where she works with special needs students to teach them art, and she also coaches in the Junior Riptide youth swimming program. Recently, Rachel found out that she is a finalist for the MHSAA-Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award that will be announced in March. Next year, she will be attending Hope College, where she will be swimming for the Flying Dutchmen and studying to be a nurse or special education teacher.
