On behalf of Meijer, ESPN 96.1 & WOOD Radio, we would like to congratulate all of our honorees for the 2020 Meijer Prep Athlete of the Week program! Thank you to all of you who nominated athletes from around West Michigan in a variety of different sports, which made it difficult to choose an honoree each week!! In late June, with the help of our great sponsor, Meijer, we conducted a random drawing from the pool of eligible athletes that we had honored throughout the school year on both the female and male sides. Our female student-athlete scholarship winner was Kelsey Anama - a girls volleyball player from East Kentwood High School, and the male student-athlete winner was Jarvis Walker II - a boys basketball player from Muskegon High School. Congratulations again to these two outstanding student-athletes who will each receive a $2,500 scholarship to use for college courtesy of Meijer, and best of luck to the Class of 2020 in their future endeavors!
