New Orleans Saints Hand Tom Brady The Worst Loss Of His Career

New Orleans Saints v Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Sunday night's matchup between the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was supposed to be a shootout between Drew Brees and Tom Brady. Instead, it turned into the Drew Brees show, as the Saints handed Brady the worst loss of his career.

The Saints were firing on all cylinders as Brees threw for four touchdown passes, while the Saints defense sacked Brady three times and forced him to throw three interceptions. The Bucs couldn't get their running game going either, rushing for a net total of just eight yards. Going into halftime, the Bucs trailed 31-0.

The Bucs would add a late field goal to avoid the shutout as they lost by a final score of 38-3.

Brady finished the day with a quarterback rating of 3.8, throwing for just 209 yards and three interceptions. Brees only had 222 yards through the air, but he had four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Brady took the blame for the loss after the game.

"We just didn't play the way we are capable of playing," Brady said. "Everybody has to get back to work, and that starts with me."

"I certainly have to play a lot better," Brady added.
